Illness and Dry Patches

Things Needed:

  • Kryolan Supra Colour Palette
  • Kryolan foundation Palette
  • Duo Glue
  • Black Sponge
  • Disposable Sponge
  • Dark Blood
Illness Look Step by Step
  1. Start of by Mixing a little bit White, Yellow and a pale foundation shade on your mixing palette.
  2. With a foundation brush cover the face, ears and neck in this mixture.
  3. To create the tired sick eyes, I mix a little of the blue, yellow, red and purple from the supra colour and with a fluffy eye shadow brush I placed this into the hollows of the eyes - To blend it out further I used my foundation brush to go over on top to make it more blended.

Dryness of the Lips and Face

  1. I started off with squeezing some Duo glue onto my mixing palette and with a clean finger I applied this onto the models lips - Get your model to stretch their lips.
  2. Keeping applying as many layers as you want - in between layers pull at parts of the Duo Glue.
  3. With a disposable sponge I used the same mixture for eye area mixing in with a bit of the foundation mixture and I stippled this onto the dry patch round the mouth.
  4. I then went onto placing Duo Glue on the cheek area to create a dry patch there.
  5. Once I had a couple of layers and began to Pick at areas to break up the glue.
  6. With the same mixture used on the lips I stippled this on to the dry patch. - Use the black sponge and some dark blood and stipple a small amount onto the dry patch to make it look sore.
  7. Make sure to blend well and cover in foundation mixture in order to avoid harsh lines.

Scratch on the Nose (Accidental Fake Scratch)
  1. For the scratch on the nose I apply a couple of layers of Duo glue.
  2. I apply my foundation mixture and stippled this on.
  3. Then using dark colour's I applied this into the wound to make it look deeper.
  4. Apply a little amount of dark blood with the black sponge to make it look like a scratch.
  5. To make the wound appear wet and fresh apply a small amount of Vaseline.

    Personal Analysis

I really enjoyed creating this ill, dry and scratched look as I was able to use things I'd never tried before. I think the one thing I'd like to improve on was the dry patch on the cheek, I found that it didn't blend well enough and I wish I'd made it slightly more peeling like.
